About
Restoran Thaqwa Corner stands as a welcoming haven for lovers of authentic Malaysian flavors, nestled conveniently at Dataran Ara Damansara in Petaling Jaya. This spot shines with a fresh, clean ambiance that instantly invites comfort and satisfaction, a detail often praised by its patrons. What sets this restaurant apart is its dedication to delivering genuine nasi kandar and mamak-style dishes that carry the rich, robust flavors Malaysians treasure.
From the moment you step in, the attentive staff exemplify professionalism and care, ensuring each guest feels valued despite occasional busy hours. The simple yet thoughtful plate presentations add a visual allure that complements the taste, enhancing the overall dining experience. The well-crafted curries, especially the curry and kuah madu, boast a thick, hearty texture that speaks to the kitchen’s mastery—far from the watery versions found elsewhere.
For those seeking variety, the menu offers an impressive range—from tandoori delights prepared fresh in the evening to iconic fried staples like kuey teow kungfu, bihun tomyam, and bihun singapore. The inclusion of fresh coconut drinks and unique beverages like basil asam boi enrich the meal, giving it a refreshing edge that balances the spiced dishes perfectly.
Price-wise, Restoran Thaqwa Corner is comfortably moderate and competitive, making it accessible for families and casual diners alike. It’s a place where quality doesn’t demand a premium, yet consistency in taste and ambience elevates its standing above many other mamak joints.
While there is room for improvement in service speed during peak times, the overall charm and authenticity of the food keep customers returning. The blend of diverse menu options, clean surroundings, and heartfelt flavors confirms Restoran Thaqwa Corner as a worthy stop for anyone eager to indulge in Malaysia’s beloved culinary traditions.
“ First time eating here. What i really amazed the plate design is nice. The restaurant looks clean. The attitiude of the worker i really respect because they always keep their eyes on cust. Hopefully the serv and food will keep become better. ”
“ Go in for a quick munch. Food are from standard mamak menu. I thought the food here is a notch above similar. Bright and airy end lot. Evening easy parking. I usually go for tandoori in the evening as it is prepared feesh ”
“ I find this mamak joint relatively cheaper from others. Haven’t ordered their mamak dishes, only tried the fried dishes from the malay stall. My favorites include kuey teow kungfu, bihun tomyam and bihun singapore. They serve fresh coconut and my favorite basil asam boi. Service can be slow when it’s full house seems like they’re understaffed so you might wanna other something similar when you come in big group. They also accept separate payment for big group. ”
“ Taste as good as what you can expect from nasi kandar. The roti menu is also delicious. Clean store and dining area. However the order waiting time still need to be improved. Sometimes took ling enough ”
“ 5 star. iam from gombak, bring whole family here just to eat simple nasi kandar. gotta say here is worth it. the curry and kuah madu is real one. not cair and thin like water u know. hard to find quality curry, madu n masak hitam nowadays. definetely will come again and bring more friends here for quality nasi kandar n roti canai. the price i dont remember, i think its normal price. but whats the point if u got cheap food but tasteless. ”
